Wilmer, Joseph Allison

Joseph A. Wilmer was elected to the Maryland legislature in 1926. He served as county treasurer from 1931-1935, as a member of the State Survey Committee under Governor Nice in 1937, and later as People's Counsel to the Maryland Public Services Committee in 1938. He was supervisor of the census and a state senator for 2-four year terms beginning in 1939. He served in World War I as a lieutenant.
